Courtney Williams grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, where her grandfather was the judge who presided over the trial of the assassin of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and later became a federal judge. She graduated from the University of Memphis where she received her ABA Legal Assistant Certificate in 2000 and a Bachelor of Professional Studies (Paralegal Studies) in 2001. As a paralegal she has worked in both Plaintiff and Defense firms in multiple areas of law, including catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, birth injury, wrongful death, products liability, premise liability and trucking litigation. A dancer since age six, when not working she enjoys reading, dance and weekends in the mountains.
